To mark the conclusion of the 2009 - 2010 season for the Doncaster Choral Society, members, friends and guests attended the annual reception. Doncaster Civic Mayor Councillor Margaret Pinkney and consort   were pleased to come and meet members of the choir. Chairman Sue Dumican and President Philip Scowcroft welcomed the mayor and introduced the coming season. Entertainment was provided by mezzo-soprano Alison Hudson, accompanied by Simon Lindley on pianoforte. Alison's singing was much enjoyed by the audience who were enchanted with her songs and her varied repertoire which included extracts from 'Carmen', 'My Fair Lady' (My Boy Bill) and Benjamin Britten's 'Sally Gardens'.
